« on: February 21, 2015, 11:16:43 am »
hey. i bought a new of new summer rims and the specs are
Front 19" 8.5" ET45
Front tire 215/35/19

Rear: 19" 8.5" ET45
Tire 215/35/19

test fitted the rims at front in a local tire garage and the car was in air when tested the front and it poked 1cm at the front. will it go in when lowering on kw v1 and some front camber?
the susspension was all the way down becouse the whole car was in air when tested. pretty hard to explaine here  :ashamed:

I'm running 19x8 et45 fronts with 225/35/19, also on the KW V1's I did have some rubbing at the front so your arches will probably need rolling (depends how low you're going)

Rears will be fine.

I am running 235/35/19 I was out 1 cm after lowering it came to around 0.7 you wont get the tuck you are expecting unless you flare the arches. The ride is good until a hard bump slight rub. Mine are ET35 8.5j so very similar. Hope this helps.

How much camber did you have at front?

Nothing more than the usual amount, I don't know exactly I don't have the tracking sheet to hand.

you won't need any camber up front

if you do the arch screw mod it may occasionally touch depending on road surface and how you turn in

if you slightly roll your arches you not rub at all

what wheels have you got on now? specs?

your new wheels will poke 18.7mm more than your monza's

screw mod is removing a screw in the front wheel arch that holds the arch liner in place

you basically remove the screw and put the plastic arch liner tab behind the metal tab from the wing and bend it back into place to hold it there.

this gives you more clearance when changing wheels or lowering as the screw is the first thing the tyre rubs on  :happy2:

have a look on here to give you a better idea

the monzas are sitting really far in imo. guess i will use some spacers at the rear to get the stance correct and little negative camber at front and rear  :happy2:

Rear should sit pretty flush
You won't get any front camber unless you get adjustable top mounts or super pro ball joints

The wheels will naturally tuck in the more you lower it, if you've only got 1cm of poke with no load on the suspension then I'd be pretty sure that when you've got the coilovers on and the car is on the ground then you'll be fine.

BC Racing Coilovers : R32 Rear Bumper : Milltek Cat Back : R32 Rear Lights : S3 Brakes : Colour Coded Side Skirts : US Grill : 18" BBS CH : De-Wipered : Bluefin Remap : Pipercross Filter : S3 Short Shifter : Powerflex Wishbone Bushes : MK6 Steering Wheel : RCD510
