What happens if...

... I enter the wrong code 3 times into my new RCD510?

It says I've got 1 attempt left and I swear I entered the correct code before.

Will it be a brick if I enter it wrong again?

HELP!  :scared:

Yes - it will disable your unit... you'll have to have it reset via VW Stealers which costs £20

Why didn't I think of that?
According to the manual, enter the number wrong TWICE and it will shut down for an hour. You must leave the unit on for that hour, then you get the 2 attampts again... and repeat.

Useless VW dealers!  :fighting:

They wrote the code down wrong and in order to get another code, I have to bring the stereo to them FITTED in the original car.

What a pain in the ass. Now I have to send the unit back to it's previous owner and get him to take it back to the dealers to get a new code. Good job he seems like a nice guy and is willing to do it!
