cd changer
« on: November 27, 2009, 08:02:30 pm »
I have just aquired a new genuine ipod dock that sits in the armrest. Can anybody tell me how to remove existing cd changer please, the reason i am changing is i have a factory rns510 but with the built in hard drive i have never needed to use the changer and find the ipod dock will be of much more use.

You need removal keys or two old junior hacksaw blades.

Halfords sell the keys for a few quid. If you ask for the ones that will remove an older style VW headunit like the Gamma or Beta they should work fine.

I borrowed a set from the audio guy at halfords when I needed to take my changer out.
