Dash lights - help please
« on: February 28, 2015, 05:49:34 pm »
Can anyone help me with 3 dash lights that come on intermittently on my GTI?

Just driving along I get the Abs, ESP off and tyre pressure lights come on??

Only thing I can say is that I need a CV joint - is that relevant?

Cheers

Could be an ABS sensor ring that's faulty.
Get a vcds scan to troubleshoot.
Without traction power is nothing!

Why CV joint?
For my money wheel bearing or ABS wiring or sensor its self.

I had the same 3 lights which at first came on only when I was driving in the rain. It then became a full time problem. Turned out to be the connection between the sensor and the  car. It's one sensor that does all three functions. Hope this helps

I had this a few weeks back. I changed the rear bearings and sensors. The rings in the back of the bearings were knackered. Been fine ever since
