speed locking

Hi.Does anyone know how to set the speed locking for when you drive off? Or is it a dealer only job?

No it can be done in VCDS.

I thought you could set the driving off auto locking on/off but the speed at which it happened was fixed at 20kph.

I think the feature you're reffering to is called the 'anti-hijacking'. If you have the high-line comp you can do this yourself in the menu. Otherwise your dealer can do it, they advertise £20 but I got mine done for free by a friendly tech.

Same here - My VW dealer is very friendly. He set it to self-lock as soon as she reaches 10mph. Excellent little feature

Its a setting via vcds, I did mine

Yes it does, very clever uswel. It will only unlock the doors you unlocked at the start. It will also sort of deactivate (won't unlock the doors after the key is taken out) if you lock the doors before the key is turned. It may think you'd prefer the doors to be locked. It also unlocks itself in the event of an accident, even before the airbags have deployed. Might be too much information now

and if you pull on the interior door handle twice it unlocks that door too

Yeah I enabled speed locking, but it doesn't unlock when the key is removed from the ignition, weirdly. I'll have a look at the extra settings later.

At the moment, I have to pull the door handle twice to unlock as Sambo says.

Don't know about the highline settings (as I don't have highline), but I know that in VCDS it's a seperate check box for auto locking and auto un-locking. So both have to be checked in the software to get full functionality.

Rather than going through the long coding go into adaptations and go through them easier to establish if you have done it or not,  especially if your not used to using VCDS
