MOT tomorrow... **Update**

Hi guys. Basically just a question about my daytime running lights  (the us spec type) Should I expect these to be a failure? From what I've been told it should be fine, but just double checking.

A lot of new cars have them, so shouldn't be a problem, tho its up the tester.....

Mine failed for having the US Spec Lights... saying that though it was MOT'd at VW direct and they were very strict

Its all down to the tester i guess

Passed with no advisories or any mention about the drl. also commented on how its obviously looked after which is nice to hear

true. I always take mine to a local MOT place who don't do repairs. No ulterior motive

Cheers guy's ☺ As for the drl, I guess it just depends on who mots your car. to be honest, I'm still not convinced theyre 100% legal but I like them haha

I have to agree, although I have seen other mk5 owners on the road look twice and be a little confused

Haha yeah I know what you mean. I've had 2 mk5 owners ask how to do it. Always handy having mates with vagcom ☺
