tartan seat material
« on: March 03, 2015, 09:40:42 pm »
Anybody know where I can buy some material with the same tartan as the seats? I want to try wraping of other parts in the same tartan to compliment the interior.

Cheers

I managed to find 5 meters worth of ex factory stock end last year for my wingback retrim (see my build thread) I have a lead on some in Germany but be prepared to pay silly amounts for it. The remains of what I had sold very quickly to a customer of the trimmer I used. This stuff is hens teeth and what I found took a lot of effort and a bit of luck! If people are interested I can follow up the lead and see what can be done. I think there is 4 meters of it

This would the best compromise but the mk6 plaid is very different close up. The mk5 has kinda a 3D weave where the mk6 is flat. I did a lot of searching for what I found and it's only cause I'm really sad and knew that if I used the mk6 plaid it would jump out at me every time I looked at it I kept looking and looking  :signLOL:
