I'll just lurk in the background and wait for the flood of leased Golf R's to hit the classifieds and drive prices down. Looks like a damn good used hot hatch when the price drops a bit. Plus it gives me long enough to enjoy a modified mk5 GTI that I dreamed off since 16 years old.

what do u think they will be worth 2- 3 years time ?

30 grand now do you think poss 15 grand or more

i know its a long wait but like you i still can enjoy the mkv GTI while prices come down

Woeful and fair play to Alex at AKS for fighting my corner on these and agreeing, they just ruined the car, the VWRs are way better

They ruined the ride quality, spring rates for me just did not suit the damping (the were meant to work with DCC) and i think they dropped the car 5mm too much and just ran out of side to side articulation and front to back when coming into corners

Anything other than a smooth road forget it, made the car twitchy and nervous and unpredictable, completely ruined the fluidity of the stock set up, the worst modification I have ever done to a car, you had to look out for manhole covers and bumps to avoid.
