Cheap RNS Copy...worth a punt?
« on: March 08, 2015, 06:57:31 pm »
I know this is asked about a million times a day...but...

I want an RNS510, but it's way down the priority's list. I currently have an RCD300 which is looking a bit worse for wear.

Are these worth a punt at less than 200 notes?

Would like to see a proper review though before I buy one.

How about a Dynavin, just seems better quality in that they are happy to pay to put Parrot hands free into it etc.
Pm some of the guys who have fiited one?

£180 for that one you listed just seems too cheap, the amp could be terrible

Yeah I looked at that, still alot of cash. I only want something to tide me over for a yr or so. RNS is way down my priority list....but really not liking my worn out buttoned RCD300.

My Cambelt/Waterpump are due so thats what my RNS money is going on this week :)

Then it's tyres...Cruise Retro fit, wheel alignment.

Then Cam chain :)

Then somewhere i'll fit in an RNS upgrade.

How about this:

I'd rather buy this for £100.00 as it looks more OEM. Still has options for usb, aux and mdi.

Absolutely agree with you there.
My cruze came before rcd510, don't know how I lived without cruze before  :happy2:
If you save up for a good headunit , you can put it in your next VAG car , its like an investment.... :signLOL:

No Nav....and I'll need a Canbus adaptor. For £75 more I can get the one in my first post and although it may not have the OEM look as much as the one above, it has loads of features!

Yeah, just been looking at them on eBay.

Found one from a 60 plate Seat (Needs GPS adaptor)....

Will this boot up with "Seat"?

There are a few others, but not sure if I need one from a VW....the Skoda ones seem to have "Skoda" printed in the front.
