Help needed, LEDs
« on: March 16, 2015, 07:01:55 pm »
I was swapping out my yellow sidelights on my projector headlights, and the new LED dropped into the light housing, how the hell do I get it out again???

unlucky :( would say the headlight would need to be removed then with a good bit of luck turned up side down and shaken out. Good luck :)

I have good news, the bulb is out! Hurrah!
Luckily the headlights are awaiting installation, I was just putting fresh bulbs in beforehand! All I did was wiggled the headlight until the bulb was visible when looking head on...

Grabbed the little bugger with some Biopsy Forceps...

And pulled it out!

They are incredibly handy tools to have lying around!

I was lucky enough to grab this one when we were having a clear out at work! It's really good when it comes to wiring! They can be priced anywhere between £10 and £500, depending on the brand and age...

Embarrassingly enough this happened me too. Have LEDs on the Lupo that are quite bright and white so I put them in the Golf. They were a slight bit smaller than the hole and weren't canbus, and when taking them out they both fell in!

That's exactly what happened to me! It is such a terrible design. I'll have to start a search for a smaller pair!
