« on: March 23, 2015, 11:04:34 am »
I'm trying to install my new aftermarket headunit and have bought this adapter for my radio antenna, what is the blue wire for?

AFAIK - Inside the silver tube is an FM amplifier, which needs power down the blue wire, maybe from back of cigarette lighter?
VW radios have the FM amplifier inside already, which is unusual.

blue wire goes to a 12v source its a amplified aerial connector

common to see on most cars that have custom headunits
