Hi James, glad my build thread inspired your decision to get a Golf R.

I agree that the MK6 R looks better than the MK7 R and it does have huge potential for power gains. As for the exhaust, BCS is a good choice and you won't be disappointed with it.
When you are ready for a BT kit, drop me a line and we'll chat about your choices.  :happy2:

Love your car mate, saw it at one of the VW shows last year and my mate sent me a link to the build thread and that was it  haha

As for the BT build thats a little way off yet but i'll definitely be in touch. Was looking at the Nortech kit with a HTA3071/6 but ill have to get the bottom end and head done first.

Cheers, James.

Nice R mate, I also have the BCS downpipe and sports cat on mine. It generates a lovely noise on full chat and when just pottering around town hardly any difference from the standard exhaust note. Stage 2+ R is a very quick motor.

How do you compare it to your old RS?

Cheers mate! The only thing I miss about the RS so far is the 5 pot noise, but hopefully when I get an exhaust on the Golf that'll be solved!

Quick update - put a last minute order in to Nige yesterday, should have a full BCS system within a few weeks. Thanks to all who recommended them, can't wait to unleash the noise! Just a hpfp and a couple of little bits then it should be ready for mapping late April/ early May

Thought I'd make the most of the long weekend so stopped off to see @vRSAlex on the way back from work yesterday and picked a loba hpfp and rs4 return valve. Hopefully I'll get a chance to fit it today! Great service from Alex as always  :happy2:

Got the Loba HPFP in today, was going to attempt the RS4 valve but think I need to have a read up first as it looks tight as hell in there. Any advice welcome lol!
