DV+ ?!
« on: March 01, 2015, 04:07:54 pm »
I get bored and I start hunting through ebay for things to buy the golf. These things always seem to pop up.

I noticed that forge also do one too, half the price of this.

Can anyone shed some light on these?

What do they do? Do I need one? Should I get one? Is it just the matter of plug and play kinda modification?

From what I've heard most people go for the REV D for K03 REV G for K04 which is why I went for REV D on mine. Quite a few of these have been shown to leak boost and be a bit temperamental. I was told to steer clear of the forge DV.

My next question, as you can tell am not up to scratch with the engines, how can I tell which one is mine? I got a 2005 GTi DSG [Non Flappy Paddle]

In that case, buy a Rev D or G and spend the £50 you save on a night on the town  :happy2:

Either way, you get a DV that will work

I noticed an improvement in throttle response with a DV+ too, but I'm also getting compressor stall with it (the 'cha cha cha cha' noise when closing the throttle), which suggests to me the flow through the DV+ is inadequate, or it's not reactive enough in mapped cars.   Mine's standard bar the DV+ and remap.  I might try reoiling the piston, but I would have thought the PCV would keep it lubed.
