Chrome Light Switch - which one will fit?
« on: March 23, 2015, 09:21:03 am »
Hi all,

Need some guidance here.
Simple task at hand: change the bog standard light switch to one of the better looking Chrome tipped ones.

My current part number is: 1K0 941 431 A; headlamp switch with automatic headlamp, front foglamp, and rear foglamp features. As seen here:

I've tried looking on Fleabay and I found several new chrome switches but all with different part numbers. Few examples below. I asked all the sellers and they all refused that this switch will not work with my part. The connectors and everything looks the same.

Can someone please guide me to the correct part and/or confirm if the Fleabay switches mentioned above would work fine?

Many thanks in advance!
SAM

Sorry to bring this back up but on my light switch the "Auto" word is yellow, the side light symbol is green and the rest red/whatever colour it is. Do any of the chrome switches have these colours as they all appear to be green and red.

Mine's exactly the same as yours mate. I think that is the norm.

The yellow backlighting on the 'Auto' part changes to red (I think) when the headlights come on  :happy2:

That is indeed correct.
