ED30 service...
«
on:
March 24, 2015, 11:06:54 am »
Right guys,
My car 07 ED30 is due a service, it's on 83k miles.
What should I get done apart from the usual oil/filter and air filter? Brake fluid was last done 2012 according to the book and spark plugs have never been ticked at all (not to say they have never been done).
Also cambelt was done at 60k miles, when does it next need doing?
Cheers!

Check in the service schedule.
I'd change the spark plugs, PCV, DV, cam follower, all filters (inc cabin), air con regas if not been done etc.

Cambelt is every 4yrs or 60k miles, which comes first.

So my cambelt should probably be done again then? Water pump too?
I changed the cam follower a couple of weeks ago and the DV about 2 months ago. PCV was done in 2012 also so does that need redoing?
I'll get the spark plugs done, all filters and probably aircon regas too.

Cam belt will be fine mate you only done 23k since last changed in 2012 so ok for another 12 months+
Spark plugs deffinately
All filters and oil
Pcv will be fine
Coolant is every 5 years so yes if not been done before, mine been done twice in 7 years
Washer fluid hmmmm not sure why you would ever need to change that as its a consumable that's constantly being changed/topped up anyway!

I only mentioned washer fluid because mine was sitting dormant for over a year after I applied G1 on the screen so I ended up draining it down after it turned a funny brown!

I had to have the main thermostat done before Christmas so would that have been a coolant drain and fill? Whole job was about £180 and the part £30. Just trying to gauge what may have been done or not.
Fuel filter might be worth doing yes!
My washer fluid tank was recently empty and been refilled so that shod be okay :)

Your coolant will have been replaced during the thermostat replacement so you're grand!
Fuel filter to my memory was €50

Booked in to have it all done:
Oil and filter
Air filter
Pollen filter
Spark plugs
Fuel filter
Air con regas
Brake fluid change
Can anyone recommend an oil to use with a stage 1 map on?
