Help me price standard mk5 golf GTI

Looking for advice on what to price below before posting to *for sale* board.
Thanks for any help.

2007 DBP 5DR.
DSG.
BWA Engine code.
21,500 miles.
I am second owner.
17” Monzas (All tyres have good tread depth)
Visibility pack (folding wing mirrors & passenger wing mirror dip when reversing)
Air-con blows cold (no compressor issues)
MOT until 2nd May 2015
2 x keys
Taxed but this is not transferrable as per new DVLA “rules Oct’14”.
DV, PCV and Cam follower checked at last service (approx. 1500 miles ago)

21,000 miles?! I would guess offers in excess of £10,000 would be minimum to start thinking about, maybe a few more as a late model GTI with that low mileage will be desirable.

Yeah only 21,500.
Finding it hard to find something to compare it to price wise.

Quick look on Auto Trader and mk5 Golf GTI's with that kind of mileage are £12,000 average.

12k for a 7-8 year old Golf is amazing. I don't think it makes any sense.

Considering the low spec it would bump it down a few pound no?

That sort of mileage though, I bet it's in impeccable condition.

Almost consider holding onto it for a good few years and using it as a show car?

This is a tough one to price, the mileage is very low but so is the spec!!

I'd imagine a fair price would be somewhere between 8.5k-10k - big range I know but it can vary lots on what the buyer is looking for, e.g. some buyers will only look at the mileage on a car, whereas others take into account optional extras over mileage.

£11,000 ONO, take a "big hit" and get £9,500 - £10,000. Buyer gets a £1000-1500 off (winner), you get top money for a low spec GTI (winner).

As mentioned, if someone wanted, say, a good low mileage car for a track car/show car project, could be a winner.

Mine is on 37k lowish spec 57 plate and webuyanycar offered £8150 when I looked for a laugh other day. More than what I paid when it was on 31k 6 months ago. If that's any help. I would say it's worth £9-9500 trade in. And £10,000 privately. Anymore and people want edition 30's no matter the mileage.

I'd stick it up for £9995.
People filter on "up to £10k"

£10k for a mk5 gti is a lot of money still.
Buyers who have 9500 to spend won't even get to view a car that's listed for 11 as they will be filtered out.

No services at all in 2012...

Good advice xjay.
With regard to no service in 2012 - 1st owner had it on the VW longlife regime. The dealership must not have asked what he was going to be doing each year mileage wise hence why there's two years between the first few services.
