Plate behind rear disc rattling?
« on: March 28, 2015, 04:57:02 pm »
I heard a clonk over normal roads and have quickly found its the OSR plate that's behind the disc. Is it common and easy to fix?. Can it easily be moved as something is holding it on!.

Pretty common that they rust around the mounting holes
You can do a temporary repair by using washers and sandwiching the dust shield
Or you can replace them for around £30 for the two I think it is.
I removed mine as they rusted through and started rubbing against the disk.

Either way you have to remove the caliper and the disk to gain access to the screws holding it in place

Mines doing the same thing but removing them when I upgrade to R32 rear brakes.
