The list is never ending!

I'll carry on replacing worn parts and upgrading where I can.

The rear boot badge
Centre armrest and Ipod dock
Headunit
New interior mats
Re-map at some point
Replace/check DV valve.....

Awesome rob, shall be following this, also just bought a gti! Great start. I've started on the exhausts, then il be on to the rear boot handle (also ww). I think my engine could do with a clean, do you just use all purpose cleaner then rinse it off with water?

Wow you've got a lot done quickly! Can I ask where you got the interior grab handles?

Thanks Peskyjones

Yeah, to de-grease the engine bay, run the engine, APC cleaner, agitate with a detailing (like) brush and PW off. Carefully not over wetting any electrical areas. Wipe down with MF cloth and dress with a Plastic/rubber dressing if desired, job done  :happy2:

It's funny you should call me Rob, as that's my twin brothers name (true fact)

Cheers mate, I haven't mucked about on this one!

I got the grab handles on Ebay, genuine parts. Link here:

Couple more little jobs done

Gti wrench handle inserts.

DSCN1281 by rogfree43, on Flickr

And the fuel release switch upgrade.

Old one removed.

DSCN1286 by rogfree43, on Flickr

I managed to pull the connector out of the bottom of the door, without taking the whole door card off!

DSCN1288 by rogfree43, on Flickr

And new one installed.

DSCN1290 by rogfree43, on Flickr

Better

I may see if I can replace the surround as it's a bit scruffy..

I also gave the car, a very quick 2 bucket wash to see how it looks now..

Looks ok, but is in desperate need of some machine polishing.

More to come soon.. :happy2:
