Update Time
It's not often I get enough spare time to polish my own car(s), as I'm always polishing someone elses
But, I had some time owing at work and decided I would use, probably the best weather day this week, to give my GTI a half decent Enhancement polish.
My main aim today was to properly cleanse, enrich, remove or reduce the heavy defects and bring clarity to the awesome Diamond Black Magic finish.
The polish of choice was Menzerna IP 2200 and a Lake Country orange cutting pad. This combo did a great job of removing the swirls.
Plus knocking back some of the horrendous deep scratches inflicted by a drying blade at the £10 wash and go....GGRRR! Don't use them people, they will ruin your car!
Some defects I left as they were too deep but I acheived the finish I could live with.
The finish was sealed and protected with Wolfs Chemicals Hard Body and topped up with Gtechniq C2v3.
I didn't quite finish all the final touches as I run out of time, but the enhancement certainly has removed the years of neglect and is looking many years younger
I'll let the pics do the rest of the talking
