Credit card protection.
« on: March 30, 2015, 09:17:43 pm »
Any bank experts available? Trying to see where I stand. Ordered my new clutch from Usa and wrong clutch arrived. They want me to sent the wrong clutch back before they send out the correct one.....with me covering the return costs? Is this right, where do I stand? I am saying no way, it is 100% their fault.

Thanks, stevie.

I will see what they say tomorrow. Not going to name and shame the company just yet as they have always been good. Hoping all ends well.

Thanks for the reply.

long distance selling act ?

Doubt that would apply to U.S. companies.

Out of date June'14 by the look of it. If I am looking at the right.

Cheers.

It wasnt on the bay. Direct through their website. I have opened up a debate through my bank. Hopefully i dont get shafted as I have done nothing wrong. If i was at fault i would hold my hands up and pay the penalty but this is not the case.

Cheers, Stevie.

Debit card is very different to a credit card.

In the UK at least you are not responsible for return shipping IF it's a mistake from the seller (IE they sent you the wrong item).
If you made an error with ordering then that is different.

Definitely a seller mistake. They have admitted that. But won't cover any of the costs or give any good will lol. I even put in the customer comment box at the bottom of the purchase form....please make sure a steel flywheel is sent out with this kit. An alloy one arrived.
