how do you work out your tyre pressure ?  i have gone from 7.5 x 18 with 225/40/18 to 8x19 with 225/35/19 how do i calculate the correct tyre pressure ?????  any one

This is a smart ass reply but see if you can locate the recommended tyre pressure for the Golf R as iirc it comes with 19" rims. Apart from that you just have to experiment...

i would try 34psi front and 32psi rear-take it for a drive and see how it goes

I've played around with the pressures on mine. The book says something odd like 34.5 front and 30 rear for the std 225/40/18's can't remember exactly. I've tried this on the 19's and didn't get on with it, tried 34.5's all round, no good either. I now run 32.5 front and rear and I'm happy with it. I think sometimes the make of tyre can make a difference to finding pressures your happy with as the stiffness can vary from make to make

someone once told me that for every increase in size or tyre width how to work it out but cant remember , guy i had the wheels off says 32 psi so ill put them all to that and see how we go

just keep a watch on the center tread of the tyres if you are running them at that pressure RR,as it will wear it down quicker

....Will do. I check the tyres very regularly.

I run 33-34 all round. I found Goodyear eagle f1s very sensitive to lower pressures. Anything under 32 and it felt rubbish.

I know that having a TyreSure monitor is a completely unnecessary gadget but I have to say that I really enjoy having it and having the unadulterated luxury of constantly knowing exactly the tyre pressure (and temperature) in each wheel.

It has shown me how much pressures can fluctuate.

RR try inflating your tyres with nitrogen - I'd be interested to compare tyre temperature and pressure fluctuations. 

I've been told that nitrogen doesn't expand unlike compressed air....

It will be but it's not affected by the sort of operating temps found on a road tyre. To the point where it hardly changes

like the idea of knowing the temps, that would be especially good if you had toyo R888s which need a bit of heat in them if its not that warm out. what s the norm temp for tyres in normal driving and in hard driving then?
