i had this, this morning thought i would take the mk2 to work... little did i know the effort it would take to try and get into the car and then clean all the ice off it!!!

A little bit of WD40/GT85 or a very thin oil will help massively/

............it is usually but when i'm on a 12 hr night shift 7 miles from home it has to stay in a secure car park.  :smiley:.Do you think it would do any harm to use some of that spray grease in side the latches etc ?.

Thing is it was not really the lock earlier today that was frozen.All the door handles inc the boot were stuck solid & i didn't want to pull them too hard incase i broke something inside the door ?.After a bit of trial & error managed to get into the drivers side but the others were stuck fast untill i got home.

Do you know where you can get this from - I have had a look around (possibly badly) but I couldn't seem to find where I could buy it from as a friend recomended it for stopping the windows sticking shut on the Scirocco.
