Changing speakers, new connections or rewrite and amp?

So I've decided to keep my kenwood, really love it and can't justify going another route with it still in place

Now I know Pretty much nothing about car audio, I can change my head unit and wire a sub but that's as far as it goes.

I'm not going for any awards here but really want more quality and a bit of punch but not a tonne of bass, so first question is co axial or components? Been looking at focal or Rockford fosgate as options but are there any others?

Will be setting up a weekend where I can get it all out and sorted so wanna source it all first

In terms of updating the speakers I've seen a few people connecting new speakers to the OEM clips, is this a good option with the dnx521? Or will the built in amp not be strong enough? If it is a good option where do I get the clips? don't know what to search online

I'm setting out with an initial budget of 400-500 with some sound deadening as well so please through your suggestions/experiences my way

If I was spending £400 or so, I'd look at a used 4 channel amp for £100ish, front component speakers for £100ish and a sub for £100ish. The remaining cash can go on a sub box, wiring, bit of sound deadening for the doors and other bits and bobs

2 channels to run the front speakers, then bridge the rear 2 channels to power the sub.

Cheers for the advice, in terms of brand for the amp I've been offered a vibe black air 4 channel for around 100 think this will get the job done or look for something else's? A few friends have got vibe speakers and they don't seem to bad but it's always nice to get other opinions

In terms of leaving the rear speakers I'm guessing I'll just leave them for a while until I can upgrade them as well?

The sub box I can make that shouldn't be too much of an issue

Running the wires for the amp into the doors for the speakers seems pretty simple anything I need to know to look out for? I'm planning on doing it all the May bank holiday weekend so I'm sourcing evening now
