New Head Unit RNS310
« on: April 03, 2015, 04:38:52 pm »
Hi

I have just installed a RNS310 into my 2006 GTi and everything work fine apart from the Sat Nav, it seem to lose GPS signal, and then takes about 10min  before it pick the GPS signal up again which is a long time. Is there anything I need to setup with VCDS to get the Sat Nav working correctly?

Sorry to ask a daft question but you have installed the separate sat nav aerial?
If so where have you placed it?

Where Napoleons armies marched with horse and musket and Hitlers Reich crumbled in blood and rubble, the warriors of Armageddon do battle against the landscape of hell now indeed thrive the ARMOURERS

Yes I have placed the GPS aerial using this How to. But I have placed mine one level up, just under the air vent cover so the GPS  has the best channce of getting a signal.
