No more quiet street!
It looks great!  :jumping: Maybe you can make a small video with sound.
BCS is a quality product, full 3" i think.

It's the Powervalve Prestige System, so it's quieter than the Powervalve Sport System. The idling noise is better than OEM but off boost is very civilized. Yeah, it's 3" all the way. :happy2:

I don't have a GoPro but the sound is the same as this example:

Very happy about it, although it wasn't cheap. Just think how the Euro has lost it's value in the last couple of months... I had to pay an extra 200 € because of the decreased value compared to the time I entered the Group Buy plus the exchange taxes. :scared:

So that's 1 of 200 bits fitted then?
I hope my list is starting to decrease, finally.

I still have another new bit to share that I finished fitting today. :innocent:

Candy white in 3 doors with Xenons is such a winning combination @Shoduchi , they rarely rarely come up on the second hand market in the UK and you look like you're treasuring yours with OEM+ touches which is great.

Not necessarily that you'll still own it, but in about 15 years you'll probably get someone give you ridiculous money for it from Britain somewhere when they're in the early days of becoming a classic
Well, mine might be the only Candy White in Portugal. I know there's a 5 doors Tornado Red with manual gearbox near my location but I've never seen it, just photos from a common acquaintance that shared them on Facebook.

There's another 3 doors Silver Reflex with manual gearbox in the North of the country. Those I are the only I know of.

I'm glad it showed up for sale when it did or I'd have to get one in Germany. My alternative was also a Candy White, 5 doors, from 2007, with 50.000 miles and already stage 2 tuned. With import taxes it would have been more expensive.

I plan on keeping this Eddie for a long time, not sure if until it's last days, but it's just like the GT Sport. I can't fault them for what they can do. When I need more boot space I borrow my dad's Passat Variant.

To finish the update for now, I had to return the RNS-510 P because it had a problem in the rear Quad-Lock connector. Got the refund and PayPal also refunded almost all the return shipping cost, using their return insurance.

Coded it, activated the secret menu and VIM, and got it configured just the way I like it.

Delivered the Eddie today to get all the remaining bits at my mechanic (200 miles away).

Not easy to fit all the boxes with all the parts in the boot and back of the car (and front passenger floor space)...

Still waiting for the brake calipers, UPS says they arrive tomorrow, and for a Vibra-Technics Bottom engine mount/Subframe mount (VAG520M) that I've just bought from the For Sale section.

Can't wait to get the Eddie back and get it remapped.

By the way, can I have 3 different maps and switch between them by using pedals or wheel switches?

I'd like to have one like stock, one for fuel saving and one for maximum power.

Just as an update, my mechanic is working on the car at the moment during his off hours. Yesterday I received the rear caliper carrier that was stuck in Speyer, Germany, due to the 4 weeks DHL strike. So today I can finally ship to him the remaining bits required for the Brembo 18Z and R32 rear brake setup.

On one of the first updates I received he told me that the radiator fan was catching the AC compressor loom and the wires were unprotected. That could have gone really bad if not repaired in time! :surprised:

Pfff...good thing you've seen that on time!  :happy2:

I was wondering why there's no update about the brakes yesterday, now I know why.

I was unaware of the DHL strike, only knew about it after asking the seller why it was taking so long to arrive. :sad1:

My mechanic wanted to fit the new brakes after finishing renewing the suspension but due to this delay he'll probably move to the engine mods.

Before doing anything to the engine he's checking the current output on a dyno to know how it's like as standard.

That's the proper way to do it!  :happy2:
I really regret that I did't do a dyno on every stage.

Your car looks lovely. I was between a Candy White and Tornado Red, and if it wasn't for the distance, I would've gone for the Candy White!

Tornado Red is also a great colour. :happy2:

My favourite are United Grey, Silver Reflex, Candy White and Tornado Red. Candy White is a very rare colour in my country for Golfs and nowadays and in addition it's a very trendy.

Updated and specified better the list of material (mostly the brake setup) on the 1st post that is getting fitted at the moment. Added:
-Vibra-Technics dogbone mount (VAG455B)
-HEL braided brake lines for rear calipers

Vibra-Technics mounts are fitted. Suspension is almost done. Just misses 2 bushes that I mistakenly ordered from the R20 but don't fit.

Still waiting for the rear brake lines to be delivered at my mechanic's shop. I hope they're delivered today... The calipers were painted red with Foliatec spray paint this weekend. Yesterday night they were still wet.

Ordered the current rear dust shields from the R32 (5N0615612E and 5N0615611E) but my mechanic told me they wouldn't fit. He told me he preferred to modify my OEM ones to look like the R32 with a hydraulic metal press.

Still curious to know if my wheels will need spacers or not with these calipers... :popcornsoda:

Thanks for your comment. I'm trying to get it done almost all at once so I can really enjoy the car fully as soon as possible. :drinking:

I hope still this week I can share what power output it does from stock after 6 years of life.
