Nice built...Now go for Awd swap ... I have an Mfacrory Dsg Lsd laying in my garage since i went awd and never install it..i would love i have done to see how it would be..For carbon built up i think methanol kit would help to keep it cleaner..

This Sunday I went for the 1st time to a track day event. It was nearby at Estoril so that was a plus. Unfortunately it rained till the morning of the event, but when it was time to enter the track the sky was much clearer so only had a wet track on the 1st 20 minutes run. The next 3 runs I could enjoy the car fully and learn the cars limits and improve my trajectories. I ended the event really pleased with the car and the experience. That 4th run, already knowing the car and the track, went so much better than the 1st...

Waiting for the 2nd run:

During the lunch break I found this better spot:

Just a couple of track pictures I've gathered so far. I'm waiting for the official pictures to be released:

Arriving at the boxes after the 3rd run:

A great picture of the rear:

Met another fellow track newbie that still needs to upgrade his stock brakes to handle the track:

Noticed that my Ed. 30 needs a bit more power to reach higher speeds faster and it would be much better if I had track tyres instead of Continental SC5. The tyres suffered a bit and I had loss of traction coming out of the corners on WOT. The brakes were perfect, I just needed to learn how much they can brake from +220 km/h (+135 mph) to ~75 km/h (~45 mph). Never felt brake fade during the runs. All the engine temps were awesome. The oil reached 114ºC and the IC never went above 30ºC that I recall of.

Can't wait for the next event! :driver: In Estoril there are only 4 events per year, though...

Haha, yeah before I did one I thought they might be overrated but its such a liberating experience to just have a racetrack to basically do whatever you want on

Nice to hear you had fun and no problems.  :drinking:
Yes, tires are maybe the most important thing so some semislicks will be great in the future.
Taking videos of your laps is, IMHO, the best way to improve your driving skills and your lap times.

For a 1st time I think it went very well. Thank you for the advices buddy. :drinking:

Now that I loved the experience I'll see if I can get a spare set of wheels with semi-slicks and something to record my laps.

I've started the journey of modifying my Ed. 30 almost 1 year ago. I'm sure you'll be able to enjoy yours sooner than I did and it will be awesome too. :drinking:
