Hmmm...yeah, that's strange, I never knew the existing of those discs, but that is good news.
You'll save a lot of up-sprung weight. Be careful with the bed in, J-hooked are known for generating some vibrations.
Did you install the LSD?

I thought J-hook discs would vibrate less than normal grooved discs.

I still have to schedule the LSD installation. Now I have everything at home to get it done. My friend mechanic has to have time available as well.

Unfortunately this happened to my Reyland J-Hook discs:

I tried to clean them and do the bed in again, but I still had vibrations. After 2 trackdays with no more then 30 laps they cracked. Could be that APs will perform better.

I hope the AP Racing will perform better and not crack after just 30 laps. :surprised:

This is my latest map update. I've changed house, now it's from RPM Engine Power Management, which is based in Italy but has dealers in a few countries. Still a custom tune but from a remote tuner.

It was done with BP Ultimate with 98 octanes. Now I have a lot more torque in the midrange while keeping the same at the top.

It had to be done in 5th gear because in 4th the wheels kept spinning. Hence the high drag. Just like my previous map, which was measure in 5th gear as well.

355cv está brutal!!  :jumpmove: :jumpmove:

Yay, the Bilsteins are on  :happy2:

You must be enjoying how firm and stable the car is in the corners now?

Without question  :happy2:

Genuine AP discs are the business.  Discs aren't just discs, it's all in the steel quality  :happy2:

Yeah, the ride is firmer over bigger bumps compared with my old one. I can still make it softer but I'm not sure if I want to.  Now the ARB work much less on cornering, for sure. Over small road bumps it's softer, though. I just need to avoid the bigger bumps on the road and all is fine. :signLOL:

I hope I can get the correct size discs from AP. 355 mm should fit but they'd leave a small lip on the outer margin.

I've finally left my car at a new shop to get the LSD fitted. :jumping:

@teo_parvu as you told me, my factory fitted diff has 25 teeth, just like yours. I'm glad I could get the correct version before I had the gearbox opened. Many thanks for your help. :phew:

Here's my old open diff.

More to come. :driver:

Looking forward to your diff report

Those crown wheel rivets used to shear off on older Golfs, punching a nice hole in the diff casing.  At least with the diff they get replaced with proper ARP bolts  :happy2:

I didn't know that. Just read that MFactory LSD are made of forged high-nickel-chromium-molybdenum steel. The needed bolts are made of the same steel and are already included in the package.

Taken from the MFactory site:
Quote
