Thinking again about it, maybe I shouldn't have driven so fast, since the engine was too cold. :ashamed:

Don't worry about about it m8 just changed my main stat as coolant temp would not go above 75º.

The oil temp with the broken stat was 83º its now sitting at 94º.

Just get it done as soon as you can.

Today I totally forgot that I shouldn't drive too fast with the engine not at the correct temperature. The engine runs happier and more willing at 100 mph than at 75... :ashamed:

Still waiting for those parts from VW. :\

Thanks mate, ordered the only one my engine has (MY2008). Older engines have two, for what I read. I won't need to drive much until I have all the parts required to do the engine mods and sort that stat issue. My wife still doesn't need the GT Sport for her daily commute.

I wouldnt worry about doing that just the once, oil temperature is more important than coolant anyways you wont have done damage these engines are far more sturdy than that. Loving all the interior upgrades, I've always wanted to do the RNS-510 and MK6 rear camera but always blow my money on performance and styling bits before I get to the interior.

Yeah, I bought it just because of it's famed sturdiness.

I was too used to have all these gadgets on my GT Sport that I had to get them fitted in this car as well. It's so much easier to maneuver in small spaces with them.

Lets see if in the coming weeks I receive the rest of the engine parts that I'm waiting for.

Today was the day I finally paid for the BCS Powervalve TBE Prestige system with 200 cell cat and wrapped DP! :pomppomp:

I should have done it 2 months ago if I could (I'm not sure I had that option TBH). The exchange rate has risen so much that it costed 200 €/£142 more now than what I expected to pay when I entered the Group Buy. :sad1:

Oh well... I just hope it arrives soon. :popcornsoda:

Yeah, it's a Forge catch can kit to prevent deposits on the intake valves. A friend has one on his GTI APR Stage 3, so I had to get one as well.

Finally could collect today almost all the parts I was waiting for.

The BCS exhaust system also arrived today. Now I'll try to schedule as soon as possible to get it fitted. The rest will get fitted later. I'm storing my OEM exhaust in my parents garage that live in a different city.

Waiting for the calipers... :sad1:

BCS Powervalve TBE Prestige system with 200 cell cat and wrapped DP fitted:

Love the looks and love the sound it makes! Completely satisfied!

Quiet while pottering around and great noise while pushing the engine. :driver:

No more quiet street!
It looks great!  :jumping: Maybe you can make a small video with sound.
BCS is a quality product, full 3" i think.

Candy white in 3 doors with Xenons is such a winning combination @Shoduchi , they rarely rarely come up on the second hand market in the UK and you look like you're treasuring yours with OEM+ touches which is great.

Not necessarily that you'll still own it, but in about 15 years you'll probably get someone give you ridiculous money for it from Britain somewhere when they're in the early days of becoming a classic
