Such an impressive build, both before you had it and since you have!

Bolting up the fuel tank wasn't as straight forward as I thought. I had to drill 2 holes in the chassis and put nutserts in for the other strap to hold the fuel tank up.

With that done I bolted up the rear subframe but not properly. I'll need to drop it back out again for quite a few reasons but mainly to run the new brake lines and weld the rear floor up. With the back at a stage I was happy with I put the wheels back on and jacked up the front.

Started by ripping the dash out..

Then I started on the engine and front subframe..

Old engine and subframe out..

I traced all the wiring loom back into the car and I am now ready to lay the R32 loom in and see where I am going to extend it etc. When I'm happy with where I'm running the wiring loom and it's all soldered together I'll put the r32 engine in and check to see it if runs. After that it will come back out and I'll start welding and smoothing the bay ready for paint. Don't expect an update for a couple of months haha.

Oops haven't updated this in a few months. Progress has been slow with going on holiday etc and working back in the kitchen on weekends for extra cash.

Wiring side of things is half done, the fuse box is back together and now sitting inside the car. I can't finish the engine loom yet because of welding the chassis leg I can't risk it getting damaged. Once the engine loom is in place I won't be able to pull it back through very easily due to the size of the plugs.

While i was waiting to buy a welder I started to make abit of progress on the interior. Popped to B&Q and bought some MDF and decided to get cracking with the false floor.

I wanted the floor to curve with the seat line rather than be boxed in like most boot build you see these days. Probably a waste of time because no one would ever notice but hey
