Changing armrest auto changer for Mdi with rcd 310

I want to swap my auto changer for a mdi slot in the armrest but i am very unsure of the wiring. Can i just straight swap it? as in with the old wiring from the changer plug into the mdi? Also whilst I'm on here any idea on who to speak to about canbus gateway update so i can stop the battery drain?
Please help me with this someone!!!!! :signLOL:

With regards to your MDI topic Eddie-NL is the man to speak to about getting a later can gateway to prevent battery drain. He also does the wiring loom required for connecting the MDI to the RCD310 (the current wiring isn't compatible sadly).

I also have an MDI armrest dock if you haven't got one yet. £45 including postage if it would be of any interest.
