They handle quite well mate, well set up suspension and haldex means you can put round corners and exit very quickly.
Chris if you can do as you wish without it costing you money then go for it! I enjoyed every mile in my .:R but my god they are far thirstier than any GTI so be prepared for that.As for the slow fast bollox I can sum it up pretty easily for you. You will be amazed at the way the thing takes of from a standstill, hell the damn thing nearly broke my back a few times pulling out whilst turning!! But then there's the mid range punch that you will miss dearly! Without the turbo there is just no get up and go once your on the move! Oh and if you get one you MUST go non-res with the zorst!!
Oh and go for the MK5, the MKIV is a harder and noiser ride plus trying to find a nice one will also take time, but may see you get some cash your way, VW refined the MKV so it feels softer and quieter, but the non res exhuast on the MK5 is a lot noiser than the MKIV.
^^^^^^^ is the blue illumination oem ????????

Perhaps an Ed30?? if your think Golf route? Not interested in another Golf Steve, just fancied an R because of the noise and 4x4 for the winter months until i get the M3! No point getting an ED30 because i wouldn't mod it because I'd only be keeping it for 4 months max! You see? Thanks for the advice all, will go to a dealer soon and enquire perhaps.
