Has anyone fitted the vw racing cold air intake system?
« on: April 10, 2015, 09:32:55 pm »
Looking into buying the vw racing cold air intake system for my edition 30, just wondered if anyone has this fitted, and what they thought of it?

Where do you get the VWR stuff? Volkswagen?! I'm tempted by the springs.

Had a look for threads about intakes.

Found this: http://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/index.php/topic,89209.0.html

But no mention of VWR. IIRC Tuners have found it restrictive compared to the likes of Revo, ITG & EVOMS.

Should be quieter than an open cone filter though  :happy2:

Thanks mate, do you think anyone of these will affect the remap?

The ECU will adapt to the extra airflow so no need to get the map tweaked.

Then stick a LOBA or APR high pressure fuel pump (HPFP) on it and go back to R-Tech  for more powarrrrrr  :driver:
