Which is the best intercooler to go for ?
« on: April 12, 2015, 10:04:50 am »
Morning all I've currently got golf gti on Revo stage 1 just removed pre cat runs so much nicer now !  Milltek non res bat back Revo intake I want too in the near future go for stage 2+ / k04 I was wondering would a s3 intercooler be good for it ? Apparently they can take high 300's or airtec or ths or dark side developments be best ? Any advice/experience would be helpful  :happy2:

peron seem to be a awesome intercooler and not that expensive either. im running the airtec intercoolers and there great for my needs. intake temps are nice and low and easy install. build quality is great as well. i personally wouldnt go for s3 intercoller if going k04 setup. id want better cooling but it depends how much you wanna spend.

Where Napoleons armies marched with horse and musket and Hitlers Reich crumbled in blood and rubble, the warriors of Armageddon do battle against the landscape of hell now indeed thrive the ARMOURERS

xjay1337 also advised me to replace the AC condenser if it's clogged up to greatly improve airflow to the IC.

S3 intercooler will run ~360bhp for stage 2+ K04.... been done hundreds of times.

On one pull yes, then as it gets hotter it will drop bhp each time.

A good uprated cooler will keep the same power after back to back runs.

Of course.... hence the peron being 5 times more expensive. If you just want stage 2+ and not bothered about number chasing then s3 is fine.
