Is anyone using ramps that work with "sort of lowish" cars?
Plastic? Metal?

The low entry plastic type are the best option I think, I've been tempted to order a set of these to try...

Race Ramps do a good range and one set are 10" high but they are pricey
There is a 2 piece 8" set also...

I looked at them decided to get a better jack instead.
Coud easily make some ramps out of scaffolding planks if you have somewhere to store them.

Check out eBay for SGS Engineering things, they seem to be uber cheap there. I've eyed up a tool chest that I can store all my tools in for £50, where as Halfords Advanced kit is about £150!

The SGS Jack is great piece of kit. Cost me an arm and a leg to ship to Spain but it was worth it.

I picked some normal metal ramps up locally for £12 on ebay. nearly new and came with the extenders to allow lower cars to get on them. Cheap, nothing fancy and do the job. I must treat myself to a low slung jack someday though. Sick of having to use the widowmaker aka scissor jack to jack the car up a few inches so the normal jack will fit

I bought some ramps and extenders from machine mart but the car still wont go up them and is only lowered about 30mm so would also love to know where to get some that will work for a reasonable price.
