Best tyres (19")
« on: April 15, 2015, 02:27:09 pm »
I know these threads are done to death but most of the ones I've found and read are for 18" tyres.

I Recently purchased a set of 19" speedlines which I'm in the middle of refurbing. I will be looking to get 4 tyres and found a good site which I'll be buying direct. Now I've found two possibles which I'd like to buy but can't decide which one will suit best.

First is a set of Goodyear Eagle F1 Asy2 in 235/35/19 which is coming in at around €180 (I'm from Ireland btw) and the second is a set of Michelin super sport XL in 235/35/19 at €201. I know it's not a massive difference in price but I just want to get the best ones!

What would people recommend?

Depends what you class as best?
No real on the road difference between 18's or 19's as far as I can tell

I'm sure you will get the same tyre recomendations regardless of wheel size.

Here's two:

- Goodyear Eagle F1 Assymetric
- Michelin Pilot Supersport

Sean, if your lowered I'd recommend going 225/35/19, 235 are well known to scrub on lowered cars. Oponeo.ie are very good delivered price for us here if you hadn't seen them

I'm running the super sports and absolutely luv em  :driver:

Nice one Freddy. That's the site I'm actually getting off. I was thinking 225 but was advised 235 would be better. My car is lowered on coilovers as well and is sitting pretty low as it is. What do you think?

225 perfect.

235 in the super sports are massive for some reason, wider than most other brands
