Can a BHZ engine be used in replacement of a CDL engine
« on: April 15, 2015, 01:00:16 pm »
Just need some information regarding engine swaps, my mates golf R with CDL engine has starved of oil and been looking for a replacement, Only one he has found is a BHZ engine. He is running 370bhp and 380lbs of torque before the engine failed, so needs info regarding the BHZ block will be fine for a straight replacement without the need to adjust the map or anything?

Engine will bolt in fine, inlet camshaft is different so map will require tweaking

CDL has a better inlet cam lobe for the HPFP providing more fuel pressure  - who mapped it? All tuners will have an equivalent map for the BHZ.

Was mapped by r tech but they don't have a slot for weeks now so just really wanted to know will it be safe as it is since the bhz can handle the same amount of power usually
