I'm struggling to work out how to remove music that is stored on my RCD510 head unit. I there a simple way of doing this?

Anyone know how????

It's comes up with " do you really what to delete this file".
When I select Yes is then says "the active audio file cannot be deleted".
It's the only song left on the HDD...

Maybe the files been used on the player?
Try adding another song and playing it then delete that one.

Just a total guess but might be worth a try

So you managed to delete other files?

Try deleting the entire folder that the file is in.

I can't seem to add any other tracks/files to the HDD. Is there a certain way of doing this?
It says there is 18GB free meaning fully empty.

Is there not a format HDD option, or return to factory settings maybe?

Hi there,
Its beacause the file is still open as its the last one "media" played and it doesn't really stop, just pauses.

Put an mp3 on an SD card and play that one, then pause\stop and you can delete the file\folder off the HDD.

Then you can pop the SD card out.

That worked for me!

Good luck,

Jason.
