Which side is rear right?
« on: April 28, 2015, 04:21:17 pm »
I know this sounds like a daft question, but... which side is rear right?  I'm used to dealing with nearside & offside!

I have error code 00287 - ABS Wheel Speed Signal #3 Right Rear.

Reading up on it, it is most likely the wheel bearing needs changing as the ABS ring is built in and corrodes/breaks down over time, giving that error code and lighting up my ABS, ESP & Tyre Pressure warning lights.

The problem I have is working out which side is classed as right.  Is it looking at the car from the front, meaning it would be the passenger rear or looking at the car from the back, which means it would be the drivers right?

Thanks guys

Left/right as if you were sitting in the car facing forwards...i.e. drivers side (in a RHD car)

Nice one, I can make sure to tell the garage the correct side to change!
