Newbie to the Mk5 GTI
« on: April 17, 2015, 03:28:45 pm »
Hello,

I'm Andy as you may have guessed. Due to financial circumstances and pending house purchase I've had to free up some money and come across from my Golf mk6 R and VROC. Decided to keep with VW as I really enjoyed my 6R and am hoping to enjoy my Mk5 GTI just as much. I was not as underwhelmed by the power drop as I though, did a fair 300 miles in the GTI first just getting to know the car so far but im happy as its a lovely drive and enough poke to keep me happy.....for now  :innocent:

I got a 56 plate in Grey, 5 door DSG, 18" Monza alloys, leather, heated seats & cruise control. With 41k on the clocks.

Will post come pictures of both my 6R and new GTI soon as.

Plans for the car will be:

New DV rev G or GFBDV+, Rev N PCV, new cam follower, refurbishment of 2 of the Monza alloys, one or 3 paintwork touch ups and most importantly Xenons or a HID kit.

the candles up front don't cut it! Any one in the North east of England on here point me in the right direction to get my alloys refurbed. Suffering from white worm across 2 of them. Cant seem to find any one in my area Darlington who will do diamond cut finish.

Appreciate any help, looking forward being on here.
