Get the 2nd gen RS4 injectors. They work well with our engines. I think AKS Tuning can source them with the adapter loom. I have the VWR drop links and they clunk a little on cobble roads.

Unfortunately I have no time to get anything from UK, I'm scheduled for the end of the next week and i get them from the guy who is doing the software update and the new remap. He did a Skoda Octavia with 2 TFSi engines and 2 DSG gearboxes, I believe he knows what he has to do.
Tomorrow morning I'll call to see where I can get some Vito drop-links and get them installed along with a new wheel alignment since even the most expensive ones (VWR) clunk.

The VWR drop links clunk because they're all metal and they rotate, so the sides of the rose ball joint will eventually touch the damper/coilover drop link bracket where they're attached. It's just on bad surface roads where the whole car shakes.

I'm thinking that maybe they were installed too short and the sway-bar is touching the driveshaft or too long and the sway-bar is touching the lower arm.

You'd see contact marks on the driveshaft. I'm referring to my personal experience with my VWR drop links. I have no contact marks on my driveshaft and I can hear some light metallic clunks on flat roads with small bumps (like cobble stone roads).

On mine it would be hard to detect new marks on the driveshafts because the brake ducts are always touching.  :happy2:

Today I got more bad news.
I went to do a wheel alignment and I've bought some MB Vito endlinks to change there. We did a full inspection of points of impact, we found nothing. After, we removed the adjustable endlink and nothing changed. The guy who usually does my wheel alignment told me that he thinks it a problem with the shock. Told me to put my hand on the wheel and he balanced the car. I could feel the knocking/clunking even with the endlink off.  :sad1:
At this point he told me that it could be something wrong with the front left shock. I got the car back to my mechanic, where I installed the AST. I hope he's got some time these days to check the left shock, and Install MB Vito endlinks just to be sure, everything else seems fine.

Sad to know the issue with the front shock. Should be covered by the warranty, right? :sad1:

Hey! Yes it is, but...I was hoping to have a good car for the 29th March time attack race. I'm still in with DSG and software/boost problems, sending the shock to AST in Netherlands and getting it back will take ages.
Still need to install the rear wing, front splitter, bonnet and fender vents and do some tests. I'm hoping that such an expensive piece cannot fail in 10 km of usage. Maybe it's something else, I'm waiting for some feedback from the mechanic now.  :sad1:

UPDATE: I've just got a phone call from the mechanic. He said that after playing with the adjustment knobs and hardening a bit the shocks, he balanced the car with the hand on the wheel is gone. He will install Vito endlinks and we'll see what happens.

I think I know why the paddle shifters don't work also. They don't even lit up.
The control module and the shifters I bought are for MK6 Golf:

5K0959542
5K0951527
5K0951528

And I've read that if you retrofit a MK6 steering wheel on the Mk5, you need a LIN 2 capable steering wheel control module. I haven't checked mine because I don't have the car, but I'm pretty sure it is LIN 1.3

So I think I need one of these 3:
1K0953549CK
1K0953549CH
1K0953549CD

If anyone knows more about this please help!

Get the 1K0953549CH module. It's the most compatible. Even good when you want a mk7 steering wheel, although you need to add some more emulator modules and do some hardware changes.

Also buy a new cruise control stalk if you're buying the CH module. You cruise control stalk must be revision "G" to work with the CH module.
