Maybe you need to code out the cornering lights with the fog lamps? Have you checked if that option is deactivated?

First, thank you guys for the suggestions.  :happy2:

Aren't those the side lamps that American cars have on the front bumper? Maybe you need to code yours for Europe?

I'll google and see what I cand find, maybe there is a bit somewhere and it will solve it.

Well it can be alot of different things mate.. Does your car have original xenon lights? - If so, then check the leveling sensor at the left rear axle..  If there's nothing wrong here then see you CECM coding (09 central elect.) and see what the coding says about the cornering light :)

Hmmm...I have the original xenon lights, but they were running fine, this started after replacing the control module. I've tried some things on/off in central electrics, unfortunately it didn't solve it.
I thing I might have to go to someone specialized in retrofitting.

Maybe you need to code out the cornering lights with the fog lamps? Have you checked if that option is deactivated?

I've already did that or at least i think so. I will try to check everything again in central electrics when I'll have my car back.
If I don't find anything, I'll try to find someone skilled in VCDS coding.

Normally when a car gives this error, it's has always been the leveling sensor that's making the issue .. Would defo check that, on LHD cars it sits on the left side on the rear subframe

Wow! Didn’t know this one.
Next week the car should be back from the rear wing installation, hopefully the snow will clear and I’ll check it. I believe I should remove it, inspect for any physical damage, grease it, wd40, reinstall it. Maybe it will solve the issue.
Thanks man.  :happy2:

It's snowing for 14 hours here in Bucharest, now we have at least 20 cm of snow. While at home with some time to spare, I decided to make my own wing end plates, never liked the plastic ones that came with the wing:

I bought a small angle grinder and I've cut them out from the splitter plate leftovers. The result is much better that the original ones:

While I was doing the plates the guys at shop finished the mounts for the wing, the original Golf VI ones don't fit on my Leon's roof top:  :fighting:

Thanks man! Can't wait to get to drive it again, first race is on 31.03 and I have a lot to do and test. I feel that I can't use the DSG in S, it shifts over 7100 rpm which is too much for my poor K04 on higher gears.  Maybe MRC can solve that.

Yeap, that's just software.

Unfortunately MRC is out of the country and there's little change he'll be back until the race, paddles will have to do.  :driver:
But I'm happy, I got some pictures with the wing on, one of them with a really nice background:

Can't wait to test the BGW on track.

I only use the paddles to control my DSG, even on short manoeuvres I put my gearbox in Manual mode.

The wing looks awesome! Well done! :drinking:

 :drinking: Cheers Joaquim!

Thanks good to know, I will not bother with it anymore. I drove a PDK Cayman S and the software was so good that you never needed paddles, perfect downshifts. MRC softwere is almost as good, just needed a little earlier shifts.

There are many questions now: How quick will I adapt to paddles? Will the DSG cooling work? Will the brakes keep up with the new speed? How good are the new coilovers? Will I feel any downforce and adapt?  ...

I think you'll adapt pretty quickly to just using the paddles. Your brakes will suffer a bit more, I hope they can handle the extra stress.

About the DSG cooling. I read that Alex Kerr only liked this cooling system for our DSG: http://sspperformance.shopgate.com/item/3635. It's very expensive. I never felt any problems with mine so far, I hope my bigger oil cooler will handle my needs.

The biggest concern are the brakes, last year in the middle of the summer I overheated them despite the brake ducts. Under hard braking the weight transfer rear-front was massive. The front brakes couldn't handle it for more than 1-2 laps. That was the main reason I bought the ASTs, they should help keeping some weight on the rear, reduce nose-dive effect under hard braking. I have 310mm and Pagid RS19 rear brakes that were doing nothing, now they should also help.

I agree with Alex, that is the only working cooling system that you can buy. That's why my DSG cooling is inspired by SSP. They are using an oil pump to get the oil to the radiator, because they are connected to the DSG in the low pressure area directly to the oil pan. I believe they are the only ones doing it like this and it is the right way. Otherwise the hoses, radiator could fail under the massive pressure if they are connected to the top side. 99% that they are using a Mocal/Setrab 2.1 LPH oil pump and Setrab oil radiator because there are some unique marking on their pump that I've recognized.

What we did is to connect to the lower pressure oil pan (with the help of a very talented welder, the one who build my new wing mounts) and use the same Mocal oil pump as SSP with our own temperature switch and high quality hoses:

Normally it should work but it needs to pass the track test.

Thanks mate! I was really looking forward to test it next weekend, unfortunately they have posponed the Race for 22.04. Some safety work needed to be done to the track, and because of the bad weather they need more time.
