Centre armrest fitting ? Revo SPS box ?
« on: April 20, 2015, 07:37:57 am »
Hi,
I am just getting  a centre armrest shipped over to replace the low level storage bin, can anyone advise whether I need any new fittings or do the ones that hold the bin get reused to hold the armrest shell ?
The local dealer is very helpful and luckily speak English but any help with description or even part numbers would be much apreciated.
I also have to get an extension tube to connect the rear vents up ?

Still really enjoying the car, highly likely the Revo settings have been lost over the years, having a cruise control fitted soon so will delay getting the car set up again properly if the local guy still exists !  Does anyone have / experience of the SPS box they sell for altering the settings yourself, any good, would you buy again ?

Thanks for your help

Hi,

The SPS Box is really good. You can use settings for fuel economy, different races (adjust kg/bhp for the class you want), etc.
Every time your battery runs out/gets disconnected you'll need to contact the REVO guy (a pain) or use your SPS because your settings have been reset.

So I'd definitely buy a SPS.  :happy2:

I actually just fitted my armrest yesterday. The original cup holder tray has 3 screws holding it down and the armrest has 4. Theres also 2 needed on the side of the body to screw it to the carcass. These were missing on mine but I had a few screws at home I used.

The handbrake slide cover was also missing so I need to replace it.

I used this guide;

Thank you for your helpful replies and the link to the fitting of the armrest, will look out for the SPS box SH as you suggest, had seen a couple on EBay but was not ready to,buy until I had you guys input. With the settings being lost each time the battery is disconnected or flat will get an expensive and time consuming job to get the set up put right each time.
The box has to be set up on day one by the agent I assume ?  If so will have to source it before I get mine reset, do we know how much they cost new ?
Thanks again    Steve

You can set the SPS up yourself, just be sure to get the later ones See here for the differences: http://www.revotechnik.com/support/sales/sps-history

The software and guidance needed is available from the Revo website. http://www.revotechnik.com/sps/ (software link near the bottom) and here is the guide to use it: https://products.revotechnik.com/products/pdf/SelectPlus_AdvancedUserGuide_V0707.pdf

Cost of the SPS new in the UK is £100 plus VAT (20%)

The SPS box is very easy to setup yourself and is also brilliant as you can use the "Anti-Theft" mode too! :innocent:

On another note, my SPS box will be coming up for sale in the very near future! :happy2:

Thanks Dan, the variety of boxes is something I need to watch if I try and buy SH it seems !
Bignod, when you have a date and figure in mind , assuming it is the right one, I could be interested in your SPS box.
