Sock Smell is Back
« on: April 22, 2015, 12:36:03 pm »
Started running the AC again and the sock smell is back. Truth is it never really went away.

I've replaced the cabin filter last year and used a can of Einszett Air Conditioning Klima Cleaner.

I get a nice puddle on the garage floor after using the AC so don't think the drain is blocked.

I've also tried switching to econ a few minutes before i get home.

And even driving in econ mode with the windows open.

Please help there must be a fix for this.

As above, a full vacuum and recharge of the refrigerant with an anti-bacterial agent will likely get it sorted. Takes a couple of hours to do properly.
Used to have Edition 30 - number 009 and a GT TDI 140.
Now have an S4 B8 Avant (stage 2)
