Tear in the side of Edition 30 seat
« on: April 23, 2015, 08:37:09 pm »
Got a horrible looking rip in the side of the edition 30 seat in the leather. Had it for a while but finally think it's time to sort it before it gets worse. Thinking it will probably need retrimming the side part if possible? I don't know much about trimming. Anyway does anyone know of anyone decent in the north west of england? Im in blackpool so anywhere up to manchester/liverpool is decent.

I Also need to know rough prices for possible retrimming. Looking to get this done as bolsters may not be repairable from heat gun method.

I'm using a company called boundary car care in St. Helens to replace a drivers seat base cover and rebuild a side bolster on my gti seats.
How hard can it be?

I had a similar piece repaired on my car (Not a golf) and it was £150 . If they are any good you will never know its been repaired/replaced , it is quite easy to do .

Highly recommend boundary car care in St. Helens, replaced a panel In my drivers seat and it now looks like brand new!

I just recommended these guys on another topic http://bespokeleathering.com/

I'm in no way affiliated, but their work is spot on. Based in Midlands.
