This is what I dont get with the 2.0TFSI, why has no one properly sorted out a aftermarket part for the fuelling.
This whole internals and apr pump thing is just crap.
You do come out with some stuff..
I dont think its really 'crap' at the end of the day, the uprated HPFP combined with RS4 injectors can max out the low pressure fuel system, so whats crap?? There is no problem with the high pressure side, its the low pressure that is holding things back at the moment..
You can easily 'sort it out' but you need to pay to play when it comes to tuning DI motors.. 99% of people out there aren't prepared to do it, hence very low demand for development parts..
If there is a market then the parts will be produced very quickly, but at the end of the day the engineers out there will only throw money at it if they see a return in their investments..
Uprated in-tank pump, uprated rail system, twin injectors, uprated top end with supertech valves, springs and retainers and uprated gasket, will see a good increase potential with the right turbo, but it is the HPFP limitations that would worry me with higher outputs over 600bhp.
The easiest solution at the moment would be to supplement the DI with conventional injectors, so there would be no more load on the HPFP than there is now, infact, you would be able to get away with running stock high pressure fuel, and run 1000cc injectors in the inlet manifold.. That would support over 1000hp
