Mercedes AMG Alloys
« on: April 24, 2015, 09:02:07 am »
Morning all. Looking to get some fresh wheels as a birthday treat to myself! I have come across these and am hoping a 'wheel nut' (excuse the pun) can help me determine if I will need anything else such as spacers to help me fit these to my MK5?

Fitment details :
ET 40
WIDTH 8.5J
PCD 5x112

Mk5 GTI > S3 8P > Cupra 300 > Cupra 290 > Mk5 R32

With that offset and width you should have no problems at all

Thanks Stuart. I was worried I may need spacers or the width could cause some catching on the arches.

Spacers push wheels out further and would make then catch mate. Are you lowering or at standard height? If your going quite low then you will need to roll your front arches because these will rub sometimes. What size tyres are on them? They could be a 235 which might even cause issues I'd you're not lowered and definitely will of you are.

Are they all the same size,as I'm pretty sure most mercs have wider back wheels. If so, chances are the Tyre sizes will be along the lines of 225 40 18 onthe fronts and 255 35 18 onthe rears

The wheels were sold not long after I put the post up. They were not different sizes front/back as most list these as 'staggered'

Will keep my eyes peeled and hope something comes up. Thanks for the info though, I appreciate it.
