R-Tech Stage 1. Is it worth getting the DSG mapped too?
« on: July 01, 2015, 12:05:29 pm »
Hi All,

I appreciate there may be other posts but I dont want to drag them up.

Basically going to book in for the Stage 1 R-Tech, is it worth getting the DSG map at the same time?  I get £100 off you see!

Just thinking is it worth it and what are the overall benefits.

Thanks.  :popcornsoda:

k04 engines still make power above the old rev limit of 6500rpm

K03 Would you still get the DSG remap ?

I've had both done at RTech, and can tell you now that having the DSG remap also unlocks more power as the byd k04 engines still make power above the old rev limit of 6500rpm on up shift limit.
It will also give you full manual mode so it doesn't downshift when it wants to itself.

Niki will also play with your launch control settings to give you a smoother launch  :signLOL:

Money well spent fella :happy2:
I'm sold then! Haha I want his traction control map more than anything! When the standard TC kicks in its like you've driven into a brick wall! Awful system

I've heard that the dsg remap actually stops the jerky feeling in 1st gear in slow traffic and when you out your foot down it stops the slight hesitation. I wouldn't mind having this done. Should be having a revolutionary stg 1 next weekend!

Well I currently have a dna tuning stg 1 done by a mate of a mate. And I think the map is something wrong with It car isn't running right at all. So bit the bullet and booked in for a full diagnostic and smoke test and on a dyno road then if they can't find any problems ill have the revo put on with a 35 percent discount if I got precious receipt so happy about that! !
