Ahh yes that does ring a bell. Can't beat a nicely modified mk4, so many were and still are ruined.   :happy2:

True, they got a little bit too affordable in the end if you know what I mean.

No plans for the same sort of stance with the mk5, I want to be able to drive this thing without resorting to a chassis notch..!

Thing is though, mk5s are getting into the category of being affordable and nowadays see so many GTI wannabes that I feel seems to make our real cars appear to be common

I know, you're right. Plenty of tarted up 140 dervs around.

Although... last weekend I travelled to Wales and back (200+ mile trip) and I saw one GTI and one R32 on the way there, and one GTI on the way back.

That's exclusive enough for me! :-)
