Dash cam install

Hi,

I am looking to install a dash cam (the neat way) in my mk5 and as a n00b have a few questions about the wire termination at the fuse box...

Basically I have bought this kit http://www.carcamerashop.co.uk/mobius-action-camera-dash-cam-version.html and the hardware kit and suction mount from the same site...

So I think I can mount behind the rear view mirror ok and then run the wire along the header and down above the side airbag to the fuse box, but I am not sure how I should terminate the wire at the fuse panel.
The hardware kit I bought can detect when the car battery voltage drops to 11.6V and then automatically kills the camera power so as not to drain the battery, this leads me to believe that I would be best to wire the camera to an "always on" fuse rather than an ignition switched one. I think I can find one of these using w multimeter and the handbook no problems. However where I am stuck, and I'm sure this is a very noobish place to be stuck, is that I literally don't know how I am connecting the wires to the fuse panel? Am I soldering them behind, or what?

Sorry if the question is unclear, I haven't actually delved in there yet so it's possible too that it will be really obvious when I get in there and apologies if this is the case, I just want to minimise the number of times I take my car apart and would like to know what I am doing before I start!

You can get a fuse piggy back or something like it's called.
Crimp the wire to it, that plugs into the fuse space and you fit the original fuse and one for your camera in there.

I did it the same way as in the link as shown by @mb and it works perfect!

I also needed a dash cam, but didnt want to wire anything up or have something I had to leave in the car.

I ended up buying the Transcend DP100, but Instead of using the ridiculously long 12v lighter power cable that i'd have to trail aroud the car every time i got in. I bought an external USB power pack that fits perfectly into the sunglasses holder.

basicly takes me two seconds to set up each time i hop in and used with a short usb cable dosent hang down at all.

will try and get pics. Only mod I had to do was drill a hole in the side of the sunglasses holder when dropped down to stop the usb cable getting squashed up. With the hole you can just run it through and it sits perfectly.
