K04 runner flap delete software
« on: May 01, 2015, 08:50:01 pm »
Just want to know if/when you will have this available on revo software.
I really want to get my inlet mani off to do a carbon clean and want to fit rfd at the same time to kill 2 birds with one stone but revo don't support it. I know I can fit it but it will run rough when cold and have eml on but I don't want that.
Are you going to release rfd software any time soon as a lot of people won't do rfd because you don't support it and it's easy enough to do when doing a carbon clean.

They've been working on it for ages, apparently, although whenever i've asked them, they won't commit to it. Too much money to be made developing new software for newer cars than revisiting old software.

The car will run fine with the RFD. The only time it runs rough from cold is the first few times until the car adapts, which it will. Also never had an EML, either with or without the motor plugged in

not a big job to do tho,  so ill get them installed if they release the software.

The rough start issue isn't an issue. I'll get a video of mine up sometime, it starts fine. Only time I had a rough start was with the motor still plugged in and after clearing fault codes. Literally a couple of starts later and it's perfect

Had my RFD in for about 4 months now on Revo software so no RFD adjustments

What about WMI? Will revo be looking into mapping that in? I'm also thinking about RFD in conjunction with WMI but Revo seem to be dragging their feet on this.

I doubt it. There are too many variables with WMI to create a "flash" map. Different nozzles, different boost level settings to enable the WMI, different Water/Meth ratios etc

Revo map is boost, fuelling and timing adjustable so you can adjust it to take advantage of the WMI, I have.....

Still not comparable to a WMI specific map

It's impossible to get a WMI specific map, there are too many variables, so I really don't understand what it is that you want from Revo?

I can request plenty of timing to take advantage of the WMI with scope to request more if I ever needed
